TASC & SEWA INTERNATIONAL DONATING MASKS TO LOCAL FRONTLINE WORKERS AND COMMUNITY Back to past Events

In the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak, Doctors, Nurses and other health workers are on the front lines risking their lives. The TASC team wholeheartedly thanks all the front line workers for being so brave during these hard times. In this unprecedented and sudden global pandemic, there is a widespread shortage of masks to the front line workers, and we wanted to reach out and show our appreciation for local front line workers by donating masks to protect and keep themselves safe from the virus.

Now that the country is slowly opening up for normal business, it is equally as important for the community members to not spread the virus to others unknowingly. We recognize the need to contain the spread of the virus within the community so our team will be donating homemade masks to members, volunteers and other community members.

TASC has joined forces with SEWA International who are helping us allocate the masks for our local front line health workers. TASC and SEWA International donated the masks to the local Hospitals, Doctors and Temples. This gesture of supplying the much needed masks is sincerely appreciated by the recipient doctors and health care workers and others. Special Thanks to Raju Guttula, Vishnu Yalamnchi, and Venkat nagaprasad garu from SEWA International.

We also wanted to give the reusable face masks for our local community members. We acquired the materials for making the masks and our enthusiastic and committed volunteers came forward to stitch and make the cloth masks for the local community members. The response to stitch the masks is so high that we ran out of material.

We have about 500 hundred stitched reusable face masks and 500 surgical masks available for distribution and we will be giving them away starting this weekend. It is suggested by some experts that using a mask with a filter provides more protection so we recommend you to buy the filters before using the face masks.

Listed below are the point of contacts and their address for the distribution of masks. Please contact the person closer to your location and let them know ahead of time and plan on collecting them over this weekend. These will be given away on a first come first served basis. We will be adding few more locations based on the future requests and need.
